Last Friday of School

(we got awards! we're so smart!)

Today was so much fun. This morning i actually wanted to get up for a change. First we had our awards ceremony at 10:30. Steven and Austin's awards ceremony was before ours, but they didn't get any awards this year :( Mrs. Mellisa and my dad were there to congrats me on my three academic awards! I only thought i would get one but i ended up getting one in art, science, and track. My other BF, Mekaylah, got one in track with me and Kaitlyn got one in basketball. It was so exciting and scarey to stand up there and receive an award. After that we had lunch and field day. We went outside and got wet by the fire trucks that came to spray us. I was asked by my art teacher Mrs. Cardinale to help her face paint at field day. My friend Jazmine and i took the job into our own hands like real business leaders! People were coming to us to get their face painted (even though we weren't pro's) they probably came because it was free. This one girl asked me to paint a hornet on her cheek, but it ended up looking like a deformed fly. I am an excellent painter and drawer but i can't face paint for some reason. It's not as easy as it looks. The scariest thing happened at the booth when we were face painting. This girl was getting her face painted by my friend Mekaylah behind me and all of a sudden she leaned into my back and fell next to me with her head on the concrete curb. Luckily she fell easy because she fell leaning on my back.It looked like she either fainted or had a seizure. As i was speaking to her and trying to help her up, she lay there limp and her eyes were rolling back and she was twitching a little. Within seconds of me trying to pull her eyes rolled back forward and she sat straight up. I asked if she was okay and she said yeah so normal. I helped her up even though she didn't need help and the lady-teacher that was sitting there took her and led her to the nurses. I wonder if she got over heated or might of had some type of medical problem. For a second i thought it was a trick. That was so scarey and it must have been scarey for the girl because i don't even think she knew she had fainted. After we were done outside we watched the slideshow of pictures from this year. Finally we got to sit on the gym floor closest to the screen. Every year they would make a big deal of who sat on the gym floor and got the best view. Always the 8th grade! This year we all felt so important because we could finally be the ones who got best view! The slideshow was amazing! The yearbook staff did so good. I was in a few pictures and they had to be the ones where my hair looked bad or my expression was goofy>:( but i'm not complaining. At least i was in it this year. I made sure to get into every picture. We finally got to see the music video that was started earlier this year. I think it was started because every other school had a music video with the whole school in it and we didn't want to be left out. It was hilarious! It was done with the song "I got a feeling" by the black eyed peas. The words were changed but the music was the same as the original song. I have to see if i can put the video on here and a few pictures i've got today. I also bought a yearbook since this was my last year of middle school and i didn't have one from 6th and 7th. It cost freakin 40 dollars and i had to use my money. I'll have to babysit two years to get that back! UggggHHh! And on top of that i was in like two pictures!!!!!!! GGGggggrrrrr! I was just lookin at Mrs. Mellisa's old yearbook and she showed me one of her old boyfriends. He was so skinny and bald! hahaha! and she showed me a recent picture of him on facebook and he was kind of fat LOL! I'll look back in my yearbook of my friends and old boyfriends and ask myself what did i ever see in those boys, or why did i even hang out with those girls. Sometimes i already do ask myself that. Today was fun and my hair is ruined. It's all poofy and frizzed from the water! Three more days of long semester testing left. I wish i could skip to summer now.
